Trainings

There is no doubt that there is a strong link between an integrated, educated board that understands the fundraising process and the role it plays in ensuring successful fundraising outcomes. Board members often view fundraising as “asking for money” but this is only one piece of the puzzle. Not everyone needs to be askers but EVERYONE needs to participate in the fundraising cycle activities. This training is designed to take the fear out of fundraising and empower the board members to be part of the team.

To be effective, nonprofits must recruit and retain board members who support the mission of the organization, represent the diversity of the community, and bring a wide range of skills. Board governance begins with mission, vision, and values and a solid understanding of respective roles and responsibilities (board and staff) including the responsibility of ensuring the financial viability of the organization.
